Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover private counselling sessions unless delivered by a medical doctor or psychiatrist. Private health insurance and employee benefit plans may reimburse you up to a certain amount per year. Please call your insurance provider or employer ahead of time. Payment is provided at the beginning of each session even if you are eligible for reimbursement later. Fees are set according to current professional rates in Ontario.
